Bathroom Remodeling
Bathroom remodeling for Broward and Palm Beach homes: shower rebuilds, tile, vanities, mirrors and storage planned together so the room works every day.

Bathroom remodeling with Closets Beyond puts the shower, tile, vanity, mirror and storage into one plan instead of four separate jobs. The photo shows a shower partway through a rebuild: cement board on the walls, red waterproofing sealing every seam and corner, a liner across the floor around the drain, and a recessed niche framed in for shampoo bottles. None of that is visible once the tile goes up, yet it decides how well the shower holds up in a humid South Florida home. Because storage is the core of our work, we pay close attention to where towels, toiletries and cleaning supplies will live before anything is ordered. For planning ideas, read our guide to bathroom remodels that make daily life easier, then bring your list to the consultation.
What a bathroom remodel can cover
- Taking out old tile, tubs, shower pans and vanities
- Rebuilding shower walls and floors on a waterproof base
- Niches and benches built into the shower
- Floor and wall tile installation
- A new bathroom vanity with drawers sized for your daily products
- Mirrors, light placement and linen storage
Storage belongs in the plan
Most complaints about a bathroom come back to storage: a counter buried in products, a vanity with one deep cabinet that swallows everything, and nowhere to keep spare towels. Those details are easiest to fix while the walls are open. The niche goes where you naturally reach in the shower. Drawer heights match the bottles and tools you use. A linen cabinet or shelving over the toilet gets drawn in early, along with a lit mirror from our mirrors service, which needs power in the wall before it is closed up.
What to expect
A remodel starts with a visit to see the room and talk through what bothers you about it now. From there we agree on the layout, the scope and the finishes. Plan for the bathroom to be out of use while work is underway, and for a pause between the waterproofing and tile stages while materials dry and cure. If your home has a second bathroom, the household can shift there in the meantime. To start, call 954-213-5836 or send us a message.
Frequently asked questions
- Does a bathroom remodel require a permit?
Often, yes. Moving a drain, adding a circuit or changing a wall generally means a permit is needed from the local building office, while swapping a vanity in the same spot may not. Each city in Broward and Palm Beach runs its own process, so bring your plans to the consultation and we will go over what applies to your bathroom.
- Can you turn a tub into a walk-in shower?
Usually, yes. The tub comes out, the drain and valve are reworked for a shower, and the walls and floor are rebuilt on a waterproof base before tile. A bench, niche or glass panel can be added. The exact approach depends on what sits under the existing floor, which we check during the first visit.
- How do I keep a new bathroom from getting musty?
Humidity is the main enemy here. A properly sealed shower, an exhaust fan vented to the outside, and tile and grout rated for wet areas all help. Storage plays a part too: cabinet materials should suit a damp room, and towels need a place to dry fully. We talk through these choices when selecting materials.
