Wall Beds and Murphy Beds
Transform your bedroom with premium custom Murphy beds and wall beds Expertly designed space saving furniture solutions across South Florida
A guest room that sits empty most of the year can do more. Our custom wall beds and Murphy beds fold up into a cabinet by day, leaving the floor free for an office, a gym or a playroom. Shelving, cabinets and drawers can flank the bed, as in our Concrete Wall Bed, which frames the bed with open shelves above and closed cabinets below. At the visit, the designer checks the wall and the floor space the open bed needs, then shows the whole unit in 3D. Rework the plan as often as you want before production; after that, our in-house installers set it up. To learn what to look for in the mechanism, read our Murphy bed hardware review.

Frequently asked questions
- Is a wall bed the same as a Murphy bed?
Yes. The two names describe the same idea: a bed that folds up into a wall cabinet when you are not using it. Murphy bed is simply the more familiar name. Either way, Closets Beyond designs the cabinet and the storage around it to fit your room and shows it in 3D first.
- Can a wall bed go in a home office?
Yes. One of the Concrete wall bed photos on this page shows a design planned around a home office layout. The bed folds away during the workday, and the shelves or cabinets beside it can hold office supplies. Your designer will check that the open bed clears your desk and chair.
- How do I choose a mattress size and lift mechanism?
Mattress size and lift mechanism are part of the consultation conversation, along with the clearance the bed needs when open. If you want background first, our blog's Murphy bed hardware review explains the spring and piston systems that most wall beds rely on.

Read all 24 reviewsChristian and Peter were very professional when doing our closets. They came in and listened to what i wanted and were able to create a beautiful design. The closets turned out beautifully.
We used Closets Beyond in our previous home, and when we bought our new home, there was no question who we would call. They are incredibly professional and precise in everything they do. They offered thoughtful suggestions, were always available to answer our questions, and worked hard to ensure we got exactly what we wanted each time. We couldn’t be happier with the results!
Such a great experience from start to finish. Everyone was super nice, knowledgeable, and professional. The installation was done beautifully and the customer service was amazing. I’m so glad I chose them for my closet, highly recommend.
